DECODING THE ALIGNERS 2022 KNOW THE UNKNOWN
CDE PROGRAMME REPORT Department of orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics conducted a CDE program “Decoding the aligners -2022 Know the unknown” on 09-11-2022 at APJ Abdul kalam auditorium from 8.45am -4.00pm.
The first lecture was given by Dr.Kavitha Iyer (Professor, Department of Orthodontics, Ragas Dental College and Hospital)on topic “Myths and Facts about Invisalign”. She spoke in detail about the workflow of Invisalign and also about the execution of the treatment plan in various malocclusion.
Dr.Balaji.K, Head, Department of Orthodontics, Tagore Dental College and Hospital gave the second lecture on inhouse aligner where he discussed about the importance of setting up an inhouse aligner lab. He also discussed the treatment planning software along with 3d printing, thermoforming and the materials needed for setting up a lab.
