ABOUT US
The Department Of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics at Tagore Dental College provides education to develop competent diagnosticians and clinicians in the field of dentistry that focuses on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases involving the dental pulp and the tissues at the root apex. We also exclusively deal with conservative and aesthetic management of tooth deformities. We are armed with latest equipments like Operating Microscopes, LASER, rotary endodontic instruments including all latest file systems, Loupes , Radiovisiography, Intra oral cameras, Apex locators, LED for Aesthetic treatments, Ultrasonic micro surgical kits, Thermo plasticized GP systems, Fully installed Ceramic laboratory etc. Exclusive cosmetic treatments like Veneers, Bleaching, Mid- line Diastema closure, Laminates, All Ceramic crowns, Tooth colored restorations etc are done in well sophisticated atmosphere under concerned expert supervision. The endodontic faculty teaches a full scope of clinical and didactic endodontic subjects to second, third and final year under graduates and post graduate students. Our core competencies are Restorative procedures, Endodontic procedures, Aesthetic procedures, Pre Clinical undergraduate teaching, Post graduate teaching and Research in the specialized field.

Dr. OMAR FAROOQ MDS.,(PhD)
READERDr. Omar Farooq currently working as Reader at Tagore dental college and hospital. He completed his post-graduation in 2011 and is currently pursuing PhD He has presented posters and papers in various national and international conferences. He has good number of publications to her credit in both national and international journals He is passionate about vital pulp therapy and regenerative endodontic procedures.
DR. C.S. SHOBANA, MDS.,
READERDr Shobana Shekar, currently working as Reader in the department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Tagore Dental College. She has completed her BDS from SRM Dental College, Ramapuram and MDS in the speciality of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics from The Tamilnadu Government Dental College in 2016. She has done her Masters in Health sciences in Public Health from Annamalai University and PG Diploma in Biostatistics from Madurai Kamaraj University. She has completed her fellowship in LASER from LASER INDIA ACADEMY. She secured the 8th rank in the Tamilnadu postgraduation state entrance. She has national and international publications to her credit. She was the college topper in her undergraduation and is the recipient of the Tamilnadu Dr MGR Medical University gold medal for securing the highest mark in the MDS examinations. She has many awards to her credit which include the young talent award conferred by the Indian association of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics for securing the second position in the national level in the speciality; the best speaker award in the Evidence based discussion in Tooth prints convention conducted by Saveetha Dental college; the young talent award and Young achiever award conferred by the Conservative and Endodontics Association of Tamilnadu in 2018 and 2020 respectively. She is the first runner up in the national level “Sculpt and Win” competition conducted by GC India.
Dr. ANISHA SEBATNI., MDS.,
READERAnisha Sebatni, MDS., currently working as Reader in the Department Of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, Tagore dental college and hospital, completed MDS in 2017. Her area of interest includes regenerative endodontic therapy, micro-dentistry, mishap management, endodontic re-treatment and surgical endodontics. She is inclined towards research and has a good number of publications to her credit in both national and international indexed journals. She is also a peer reviewer for a few PubMed indexed journals.
Dr.C.CHARANYA MDS.,
READERDr. C. Charanya is an eminent clinician and a passionate academician. She is currently working as Senior Lecturer in Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics in Tagore Dental College and Hospital. She has completed her undergraduate from Sathyabama University and postgraduate from SRM Dental College, Ramapuram. She has also completed her fellowship in forensic odontology from the Indian Board of Forensic Odontology in MAIDS. She has attended various National and International Conferences and has presented papers and posters in various forums. She has won the best paper award multiple times in her career and has also delivered guest lecture at national and international forum with her excellent oratory skills. She has also completed various hands-on courses in regards to photography and lasers. She is inclined towards research and has a good number of publications to her credit in both national and international indexed journals. She is also a peer reviewer for a few PubMed indexed journals. She was honoured the Young talent award by the Conservative and Endodontic Association of Tamil Nādu for her remarkable contribution in academic and clinical field.
DR.SARATH KUMAR, MDS.,
SENIOR LECTURERDr. Sarath kumar , currently working as senior lecturer in the Department Of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, Tagore dental college and hospital, completed his BDS from SRM KATTANKULATHUR Dental college in 2015 and MDS from SRM Dental college Ramapuram in 2020. His area of interest includes regenerative endodontic therapy, micro-dentistry, mishap management, endodontic re-treatment and surgical endodontics. He has presented many papers and posters in national and international conferences. He has received the “Best paper” award” in 34th National Endodontic Conference, Mumbai. His hobbies include photography and sports. He is the chairman of the photography club of Tagore dental college and hospital, actively conducting programs in the field of photography and dentistry.

SENIOR LECTURERDr. N. Akshaya, currently working as Senior lecturer at Tagore dental college and hospital. She completed her under-graduation in 2015 and post-graduation in 2021 from Sathyabama Dental College and hospital. She has presented posters and papers in various national and international conferences. She has won many awards during her post graduation. She is passionate about vital pulp therapy and regenerative endodontic procedures. She also owns a private practice in Chennai.

She has presented various papers and posters in various national and international conferences and received the “Best paper” award in 23rd IACDE National PG Convention. She has a good number of publications to her credit and is more inclined towards research. Her area of interest includes newer endodontic materials, vital pulp therapy

LECTURERDr. R.Rajashree, BDS., FDS Lecturer Dr. R. Rajashree, currently working as a lecturer in the department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Tagore Dental College and hospital, completed her BDS from CSI Dental College in 2014 and Fellowship in Endodontics (FDS) from Saveetha Dental College in 2022. She has taken part in Implant and laser Hands-on courses and attended various conferences, CDE Programs and webinars.

LECTURERDr.Anitha, currently working as lecturer at Tagore dental college and hospital .She completed her under-graduation in the year 2006 from SRM DENTAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL under THE TAMILNADU DR.MGR MEDICAL UNIVERSITY. She has been in academics for the past 10 years .She is a member of IAGFO and received special training in “Gold Foil Restorations. She has attended various national conferences and has presented a paper in ORMICON an international conference in oral microbiology in the year 2013.

LECTURERShe has graduated from Rajas Dental College in 2007 under Tamilnadu DR MGR Medical University . She is working as a Tutor at Tagore Dental College from 2011. She has attended various conferences and workshops .
