National Fresh Breath Day – Oral Health Awareness Outreach Programme

On the occasion of National Fresh Breath Day, an outreach programme was conducted by the Department of Public Health Dentistry, in collaboration with the NSS Unit of Tagore Dental College & Hospital, on 6th August 2026 at Kattur Village, Thiruporur Block, an adopted village under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Scheme.

The programme included an awareness talk and distribution of informative pamphlets highlighting the common causes and prevention of bad breath (halitosis). The initiative aimed to educate the community on the importance of oral hygiene, prevention of bad breath, and maintaining good oral health.
